03/28/2008 Entry: "Home Theater (and life) update"

I've been remiss in posting since the entire family has been sick over the last 2-3 weeks. However, in the middle of it all we have gone through a serious upgrade in the home theater. We acquired a Mitsubishi 46" LCD, a Sony Blu-Ray player, a new console from Room and Board to put it on, and finally last weekend, we had a HD DirecTV antenna installed and a HR-20 DVR (with network and external storage) hooked up. The installation is a complete other story, one that I plan to post to dbstalk.com. As for the switch from TiVo to the DirecTV DVR, I have to say that I'm very very impressed and absolutely love remote scheduling! And how is life with HD? Amazing. Truly amazing.

I'm currently getting pressured to upgrade my blu-ray to a PlayStation 3 (since it's a better blu-ray player) and then we can all play Rock Band, right?
