Can’t turn infrastructure architects into enterprise architects
Talk to users!
Must keep knowledge current
Investigate “The Art of Possible”
Be a trusted partner and advisor to the business

Can the value of EA be measured?
Very hard to do EA value measurement if you don’t understand the value proposition
EA is a process to prepare for change
Focus is moving from consolidation/rationalization to business integration to business process acceleration
Must be able to handle exceptions to limit/control risk
