[Previous entry: "Bruce Springsteen premieres another "Man" song in Minnesota"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "Day 2: IBM zBLC in Montpellier"] 05/16/2005 Entry: "Day 1: IBM zBLC in Montpellier" So I'm flying from Amsterdam to Paris right now. I had a long overnight flight from Minneapolis. Sadly, I was unable to get bumped into business class. My flight was oversold and VERY crowded. Next to me a mom had her two-year old on her lap the whole way. If I wasn't a parent, I would not have been able to deal with it. I got a little bit of sleep along the way. Caffine is keeping me going as usual. Angie bought me a mini iPod for the trip. I've got it completely loaded up with stuff, including my Bruce show from this week, which I was fortunate to download Friday afternoon before leaving. So my time in Paris will be short. I'll have about an hour between landing and getting to my high speed train, and oh yeah, I've got to get my luggage as well. Oh, for what it's worth, the Air France in-flight magazine is like Elle quality! OK, now I'm on the TGV, high speed train. I'm about 75% sure that I'm in the wrong car. I think that the signs say Classe 2, and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be in first class. Hmmm. We stopped at the Euro Disney stop, but I couldn't really do anything about it. My accommidations are fine, but nicer would be better. Oh well. We'll see what happens when the conductor visits me. Hmmm... he didn't speak english, but he didn't want me to move. I kinda got the impression that I was in the wrong place. Oh well. Cool! French cows! Lots of them. And they like to sit down and rest.
