[Previous entry: "NRF Day 1"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "NRF Day 3"] 01/16/2005 Entry: "NRF Day 2" Today I did four things:
MoMA I'm feeling a bit better. MoMA was a full experience unto itself. I wasn't expecting to see Picasco, Matisse, and Van Gough. I thought that it would be more stuff like Pollack, Starck and Eames. I was pretty blown away. Lunch was bleh. Ground Zero was amazing. Underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time. It's really just a big construction site, but then you realize what was there and think about what happened. You look around and see unoccupied buildings and buildings under repair and realize that 9/11 was real, horrible and hopefully will never happen again. Dinner was nice... but sometimes I really hate being social. Although a social dinner with a vendor is one of the reasons why I'm here, so I guess it was worth it. Tomorrow the real "work" begins. Although on east coast time I'm not even meeting people for breakfast until 9am. Big NYC trends: White long sleeve t-shirts under anything. Ugg or big boots. Rolled up jeans. I moved room, so I'm on the corner now, and I can see Radio City from my room. This room is about two times bigger than the old one. I'm getting really spoiled, but if you don't ask, you won't get the nice rooms.
