02/15/2004 Entry: "ITSCM8 Day One: Not quite Rock Star life"

Notes while flying Las Vegas for the 8th Internation IT Service Management Conference

Yesterday was a great valentine's day. Angie bought me a flame colored GameBoy Advanced (which I should be playing instead of blogging). I got her very cool noise-cancelling Bose TriPort headphones.

I was fortunate enough to be offered first class seating while checking in this morning. This will help aid the transition from flying on the corporate jet to commercial airlines. Flying back is going to be a wake-up call. As of today, I'm in row 41 with no opportunity to upgrade to first class... what a bummer.

Someone is using a tablet PC near me and someone else is watching something on a portable DVD player. That's all good use of first class. My screwdriver was also a good use of first class. The single piece of chicken on my pasta salad was not a good use of first class, but at least I didn't have to pay to eat.

So... the game boy advanced is pretty cool. We bought Tetris Worlds and Tiger Woods Golf 2004. The new Tetris is interesting, but definately not the Tetris from the original gameboy (which I got over 18 years ago, isn't that scarey). Up next is playing golf. I was hoping that there was Hot Shots Golf for GameBoy, but there isn't.

BTW, I'll be staying at the Venetian and trying not to get into too much trouble. I'm sure that I'll write more later.
