It had to happen... I was towards the end of the line to get on the plane when I was asked to be searched. Jacket off, pockets emptied, even my shoes had to come off. The worst part of it was that I remember that I had my Swiss Army knife in my briefcase. Well, no more knife. It really needed to be replaced anyway.

Oh yeah... did I mention that my travelling companion is in first class. She didn't even get bumped it... it was purchased that way. Her ticket is like $120 more than mine. I really don't understand it. There are a lot of empty seats on the flight... including the two next to me.
