12/28/2001 Entry: "In The Beechwoods: New Pink Floyd"

Wow... I finally got my copy of In The Beechwoods, thanks to the kind people of The Laughing Madcaps. It's really pretty amazing to hear some new old Pink Floyd. It's definately Syd's style of guitar and would sound right at home on The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Very impressive. The other two "new" tracks, two version of Vegetable Man are also quite a treat to hear. And although I haven't listened to them all of the way through, the massively cleaned up version of Copenhagen 9/13/67 and Rotterdam 11/13/67 sound amazing... for 34 year old shows.

So, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's fine. It's just more geeky Floyd stuff.

In other geeky news, I got some great New Order shows in... and doing my first attempt at audio editing to squeeze a 2 disk show onto one disk. Keep your eye out for updates to my trading pages.
